I’m grateful for the peace I feel after walking. No matter if I’m taking a walk in the woods, through the desert, up to the mountains, or around my neighborhood, I feel peace after coming home from a walk. Even if I leave the house fuming with anger, I come back to a place of peace in my heart. Walks for me are grounding. If I’m taking them with a friend, they can help me move through energy of fear, lack, and separation or lift me into higher energies of love, abundance, and peace. If I’m walking alone, I find my center by observing nature around me and being present. When I stop taking daily walks, I start to feel how it affects my head and heart space. When I’m not walking, I don’t give myself the place to process and it’s like my energy doesn’t know where to go.
If the weather doesn’t agree with me walking outside, I use my Simply Fit Exercise Board (link to show you what it is) to simulate the movement, and I watch or listen to something inspiring for the period of time I’m on the board. When I do that, I love the alignment I feel with the energy of love, abundance, and peace. I feel like sometimes I forget that everything happening in our bodies is connected. When I take care of my body, my mind benefits in a multitude of ways. When I take care of my mind, my body benefits in a multitude of ways. When I treat these things as separate, I pay the price in a multitude of different ways. I love knowing that I have a tool that can bring me back to peace whenever I’m ready to do the work.
Today, I commit to appreciating the peace I feel after walking. If I didn’t focus on the peace, I wouldn’t be able to stay in the energy of it very long. I use walking to align myself with the energy of love, abundance, and peace by paying attention. I do my best to stay present when I’m walking. I love looking around at the clouds, trees, flowers, plants, and wildlife. I love observing all the different noises the birds make. Some are actually quite entertaining. I love looking at the colors of the sky and different cloud formations. There are so many amazing things to appreciate. The more appreciate the more aligned I am with the energy of love and abundance. Then as I’m appreciating it all, I feel peace. I know I want to feel more peace so that I can create more peace around me. I have a lot more to offer the world when I’m aligned with love, abundance, and peace.
Today, my plan is to sit in my peace after I walk. That may just be the perfect time to meditate. In that meditation my focus will be on staying in the peace. Just typing the words feels right. We all have stressors. Knowing how we get to our peace is an important step to being able to live our best lives. Remember anything we want to feel from the outside world or expand on in the outside world, we have to live on the inside of us first. We have to know love, abundance, and peace in the deepest parts of ourselves, to feel it and understand it in the outside world. There is no ONE path to get us there. We have to find the path inward that works best for us. Once you begin this journey, door after door begins to open leading you down the path that is right for you. You will also see many doors close behind you as you learned what you were meant to learn.

Yes! I do bare feet when I’m doing any kind of outdoor meditation-walking, standing, or sitting 💜.
