The first post I have ever written was on January 20, 2016. I  just graduated with my B.A. from Eckerd College. I was used to writing on a daily basis. Within a few weeks of not being in school, I started feeling my creativity stir. I kept seeing the WordPress.com  advertisement and went for it. I didn’t come in with any expectations of other people, so I didn’t think much about how many people would be reading my pieces.

After I wrote my introduction piece, I wrote “Tearing Down Walls Isn’t Enough”. I was shocked at the response. I was contacted by You Share Project and asked if I would be willing to share my piece. A little while later, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for a site I follow called, Being Better Humans. I love reading all their pieces about people helping each other. All their positive messages help me stay inspired on a daily basis. I sent the owner of the site a thank you note and my link. I had just finished writing “An Open Letter to Those I Have Judged”. She read the piece and wanted to put it on her site. I felted honored. The piece was well received by her readers. I’m filled with awe at the amount of like minded people there are out there. My eyes are filled with tears of joy seeing people connect through loving and non-judgmental words.

On February 17, 2016 another awe moment happened. After writing another thank-you post to a Facebook Page I follow,  I received a message from Your Positive Oasis. The owner of the site asked if I would be interested in writing a piece for them. Yes, Yes, Yes!! I wrote, “5 Steps to Being Treated the Way You Deserve”. Yesterday, he informed me that the piece is spreading throughout the world. My body is tingling all over. The awe of the moment is overwhelming. I’m so grateful that words from a loving place are touching people without borders and boundaries, without judgements and criticisms. Love is the language we all know. The more the messages of love is spread, the greater opportunity we all have to heal, unite, and alleviate the pain in the world.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to all of you who are reading this piece and the ones who have been following my journey. Thank you to all my fellow writers who are inspiring others to love, laugh, live, and connect. Thank you to all the people who are inspired by positive messages and share them with others. The last two months have been amazing! The more grateful I am, the more great messages I am led to hear and share. I love how that works.

With Love and Gratitude,

Rachael Wolff
