Do It Now Challenge #6

Pick your favorite song, dance and FEEL the music!

Oh yes, it’s time to dance. You can dance in your room or in a chair. You can dance in your car or on a train. You can dance while walking or talking. Dance by yourself, with a friend, partner, or kids. JUST DANCE and FEEL the music!

We often make feeling better into this HUGE task, but forget there are little things that we can do right now to lift our moods. It may just be for the length of the song, but FEEL it. It’s real! Don’t take for granted the moments we create joy. Be with it. Know that it’s possible even if the world feels like it’s falling down around you. Grab moments of joy where you can.

I created a playlist on my phone that when things get really bad, I go to the playlist and get lost in the music. In my worst times, I feel joy when I’m listening, singing, and dancing along. The energy usually extends out beyond the music too. Sometimes only for a minute or two, other times for hours.

Here’s a key though, do it for you. Don’t do it for anyone else. When we are doing it for someone else, it can become a pressure instead of gift. This isn’t for an audience. This is for you!
