Growth is never about focusing on someone else’s lessons, but only on our own.
Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love
The first time I read A Return to Love, I was 14-years old sitting in a treatment center. There were so many seeds in the book I was not ready to plant. It’s taken me hearing the concepts over and over again in different ways through out the years to the point of finally being able to truly let this seed grow into the beautiful flower in my own garden. I can’t change anyone else. I can grow from my experiences with others as long as I keep the focus on me.
I work on this one daily. Every time I feel triggered by another person’s actions or inactions, I turn it back to me and figure out how I can make the most out of the experiences. My life feels so much better when I take full responsibility for the energy I’m putting out to the world.
With Love and Gratitude,
