“Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.”
Lord Byron

I love to laugh. I love listening to other people laugh. I love being in a crowd of people laughing. Today, I’m really appreciating all the moments I got to just laugh. The beauty of this day and age is that I can find something to get me laughing within minutes! It can be a friend, show, YouTube video, movie, comedy show, or just watching my animals. I can choose to laugh whenever I want to and am ready to just let go.
It’s very important for me to laugh, because sometimes I just take life too seriously. Remembering there is always something to laugh at brings me hope even in the darkest times. When I laugh at feeling overwhelmed, I free up space for something different to come in…you know, like JOY! If I can get out of my own way long enough to laugh, I get this inner knowing that everything is going to be okay.
My sister and I have found a lot of joy lately in making extending our “Happy” playlists. We crack up laughing about memories of belting out songs on car rides, dancing to our favorite 80’s and 90’s music and so much more. Even while writing this a smile is planted on my face just thinking of it. There are songs like, “Jump Around” by House of Pain that I can’t hear without laughing, dancing, and smiling.
