One of the gifts of self-care is that when we do it in one area of our lives, others areas open up naturally. Eating something healthy isn’t about shaming myself for what I look like, my weight, my blood pressure, or cholesterol levels. Eating something healthy is simply about wanting to do something nice for my body, and that is what self-care is all about.

I love the way food tastes when I take the time to appreciate the care it’s giving to my body. I love the thought of eating when I know I’m doing it from the place of self-love. When I’m telling myself all the things I shouldn’t eat, and shouldn’t do, I start treating myself like there is something wrong with me. That doesn’t feel good, that’ not self-care.
I’ve decided to make a commitment to myself to enjoy what I put in my body and eat to show my body love for the lifelong vessel and life partner that it is. Eating something healthy is an act of love I’m showing myself.
I just took a break to eat a delicious dinner and finish it off with a wonderful glass of refreshing lemon water. I love the way it goes down. I FEEL like my body is thanking me.
