#27 What Can I Do Now? Grounding Meditation

Today has been a very productive day. I’ve been getting myself organized and ready to record a bunch of new episodes of Seeds of Wisdom. I’ve made all the posters for each of the upcoming episodes. I’ve emailed upcoming and potential guests. I’m editing and doing all the behind the scenes work to get tomorrow’s episode out.

I’ve also been running on a natural high from connecting with others yesterday. If you missed the Goal Chat Live talk, I’m putting it at the end of today’s post. It was an amazing conversation on mindset. Here’s the thing though, sometimes after a day full of this, I need to ground myself in a meditation. This is what keeps me from crashing.

If I’m running on adrenaline, and I’m not careful, I will be left feeling totally wiped out. That’s why it’s so important to take a few minutes to ground myself with a meditation. It doesn’t have to be a long one, it just has to be focused on grounding. That’s why I like to go outside and sit on my chair, plant my feet on the ground, listen to some ambient sounds, binaural beats, or frequency music and just breathe in and out with my focus on connecting my energy with the Earth’s energy.

Here’s what I say to myself: Rooted in the Earth—I’m grounded. Connected to the Earth’s energy, I’m free from worldly distractions—I embrace the peace within me and let it run through me.

I often will feel tingles running up my legs and through my limbs just like it would if I were a tree. I just sit and be present with this feeling for as long as I can. When I feel grounded, I stop. Sometimes it takes less than 5 minutes. Other times, I’ve gone 45 minutes. I don’t put limits on myself, I just focus on the process of being grounded.

With Love and Gratitude,
