Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #311

I’m grateful for dancing. Dancing has this way of moving all the energy around in my body to get in flowing in the right direction again. Sometimes all I need to do is enjoy a good shake. Other times, I need to shake, bounce, and swing my arms. I get in touch with who I am in the vibrations of music and movement. Dancing helps me to release all the thoughts, beliefs, and energy that are getting stuck in my body and mind. Stuck energy is never a good thing. What way to better to jiggle it loose than to dance?

When I was going through the very challenging phase of breaking free from a toxic relationship, I danced A LOT. I would go over my best friend’s house and we would just dance to Black Eyed Peas, “I gotta Feeling”. We would bounce, shake, sing, and swing our arms all around. I’m listening to the song as I’m writing these words. My head is moving with the music. I just can’t sit still. I just have to move when I hear this song.

This song helped me awaken my soul when I thought I had become just a shell. Dancing was a tool that helped me lift my spirits when the thoughts going through my head were too overwhelming to process. Now, all I have to do is close my eyes and picture dancing—my soul is lifted.

Today, I commit to dancing to align my energy with love, abundance, and peace. Sometimes, I forget what a powerful tool dancing is for my well-being. Sitting here, I’m brought back to how much fun I had with friends and family dancing my heart out. I think of all the times that dancing and moving to music helped me get past some of my most turbulent times. When I’m doing good, I forget that it’s still a good time to dance.

As I talked about yesterday, I love my music playlists. A dancing playlist is essential for me. I put music on it that I will dance to in my car, while I’m cleaning, while I’m doing laundry, etc. I love being able to engage in my full joy even when doing everyday tasks. When I’m dancing, my head is not spinning in the dread. For me, dancing can improve any task and any mood. I feel joy just thinking about it. Today’s plan, dance every chance I get! When I feel joy in a moment through dancing, I’m instantly connected with energy of love, abundance, and peace.

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #310

I’m grateful for music. Countless times I’ve leaned on music to help me move through the hard, celebrate the wonderful, and restore peace to my mind, body, and soul. When I’m lost and confused, I pay attention to what I’m listening to. Often, I find that the music I’m listening to is where I am emotionally. I also use music as a tool to help me get my energy where I want it to be. The vibrations of music help me to see where I am vibrationally too. Music is such a gift. Music has away of letting all my feelings surface. It helps me to extend feelings like love, joy, happiness, compassion, and peace, while it also helps me to recognize fear, anger, hate, rage, sadness, anxiousness, and concern. The music I pick gives me a choice of where I want my energy to go. I find so much comfort in that.

I love making music playlists. I use them to help guide my energy where I want it to go. I have two teenagers. Sometimes when I’m writing, I can get distracted by the socializing going on in the background. When that happens, I have instrumental meditation music I play on my headphones to stay in the energy of the piece I’m writing. When I was writing about some darker experiences in my book, I listened to songs that helped me to be in the energy I was writing about. When I’m doing inner work, I will often listen to music that helps bring up feelings in whatever area I’m working on. Music is a wonderful self-care tool.

Today, I commit to using music to align my energy with love, abundance, and peace. My mornings begin with music. All my alarms are music that aligns my energy with enjoying the day. When I walk my dog, I listen to nature’s music. I LOVE listening to the birds singing and calling. I’m making a playlist for today as a reminder of where I want my energy to stay. The songs will all be aligned with love, abundance, and peace. Here’s what I’m considering as I’m picking my songs:

  • What music helps me lift my energy and gets me physically moving?
  • What music helps me calm my energy for times of Being present with a moment?
  • What music fills my heart with love and joy when I listen to it?
  • What music reminds me to love more?
  • What music makes me feel like I can do anything?
  • What music reminds me to be the change?
  • What music settles my brain and helps me get ready for a peaceful sleep?

I find that just focusing my energy here helps me to be more conscious of what I’m allowing to feed my soul. Music can help me to stay in the energy of love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation. When I consciously choose, I empower myself to be accountable and responsible for the choices I do have.
