I’m grateful for waking up creatively. Life is a creative process. My free will is expressed creatively in the choices I make moment to moment. How I pick my clothes, organize my belongings, and plan my day is a creative process. I can choose to make things tangible or intangible, but both are my creations. Every story playing in my head is my creation. Waking up creatively gave me the power to create things consciously that I actually WANT in my life instead of creating endless chaos internally and externally. This is why creativity is one of the areas of wellness. What I create effects my overall health.
I’m the creator of my reality. This doesn’t mean I have control over anything that happens around me, but I choose to create my internal world to respond/react to what I’m seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, tasting, and feeling. I create the story in my mind that aligns me with the energy to create more peace or more chaos. I love just writing these words.
Writing daily means I’m fully engaging with conscious creating. Doing this helps me to remember everything else I’m creating with my thoughts, beliefs, and actions throughout the day. Keeping my creative brain consciously engaged helps me to stay awake!
There are so many forms of creative process that help people along on their journeys. I’ve discovered it’s important to listen to which ones call to me. This doesn’t mean I won’t try what works for someone else. I’ve often found by trying what works for someone else, I carry at least a piece of something that works for me, but I don’t judge one way as right and the other as wrong. I know I have to listen to my own voice on what feels right for me. Listening to what creative processes works for others actually help me strengthen my commitment to mine. I pay close to where my energy is aligned and where my passion takes me in the creative process.
I know my creativity leads me to my highest good when my energy is aligned with love, abundance, and peace. That is why I’ve committed to this journey of aligning my energy daily. I love what I put out into the world. That being said, I also find it extremely helpful to create something physical in art or movement form when I’m aligned with the energy of fear, lack, and separation. Creating something like a drawing, poem, or dance helps me to get the energy out of my body and release it. It also helps me from taking my stuff out sideways on someone else.

Today, I commit to igniting my creativity. I know I’m always creating, but making this commitment helps me do it consciously. It doesn’t matter what energy I’m aligned with or what I’m feeling. Consciously igniting my creativity in healthy ways helps me to move my energy into consciously creating my reality moment to moment.
I know how dangerous it is to create unconsciously, I did that for decades!! Once I can gage where my energy is, I will do what I need to do to move and shift it into a place where I want to consciously create from. If I need help, I can pull from other areas of my wellness. Feel free to go back and explore the last few days where I’ve been breaking wellness down piece by piece. I will also be continuing to cover the areas of spiritual, intellectual, environmental, occupational, and financial in the days to come. Each piece works together to create the whole picture. Seeing the individual pieces helps me pay attention to where my strengths are and what areas need work.
As I move into the other areas of wellness, I wanted to remind myself of my part in what I’m creating for myself and for others. I want to ignite my creativity in a way that I enjoy and connect to the process of creating:
- What am I energetically creating out in the world?
- What are my words creating out in the world?
- What are my actions creating out in the world?
- Am I serving the highest good by what I’m choosing to create?
Today’s mantra: I’m responsible and accountable for what I create with my energy, words, and actions.
