Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #206

I’m grateful for the love I feel when I treat my body respectfully. This one took me a lot of time to figure out. I went through years of abusing my body with poor choices. I still neglect her from time to time. When I’m showing her the love and respect that she deserves, I feel a love that permeates into everything I say, do, and think. If you have been keeping up with the daily posts, you saw the last two days were about exercise and walking (click for links) for the benefits of how doing them makes me feel. These last two days is what led me here today. As I started treating my body better, I starting feeling the love for my body more clearly. I started noticing all the things my body can do. Treating my body with respect made me want to show it even more love by what I was eating and drinking. This isn’t a forced feeling like a diet. It’s a love feeling. I’m taking care of something that I love.This was just the reminder I needed to make me want to make sure that I’m showing my body respect DAILY!

Today, I commit to respecting my body. As I finished the last sentence, I picked up my water bottle. Drinking water is showing my body respect. My body needs water. When I don’t give her enough water, I’m neglecting her. As I’m writing this post so many thoughts are flowing into my head of things I can do to show my body respect today. Here are some in no particular order:

  • Stretching
  • Walking
  • Core Strengthening exercises
  • Eating healthy
  • Drinking water
  • Dancing
  • Tapping (EFT)—to work through stress
  • Meditating
  • Epsom Salt bath
  • Massage
  • Heating or icepack when needed
  • Supplements
  • Smoothies with added ginger root, cinnamon, and honey
  • Movement breaks throughout the day
  • Not doing things that have a negative effects on my organs/health
  • Chakra work
  • Plenty of sleep

These are just initial thoughts of things I can do. It doesn’t mean I will do them all. I just know the more respect I show my body, the better I feel. The better I feel, the better I treat myself. The better I treat myself, the better I treat others. The better I treat others, the faster the world changes in a positive direction… these are patterns of thoughts and behaviors I can get behind! These are the things that keep me aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace.
