Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #224

I’m grateful I found a way to understand the duality of humans. The deeper I go into this journey of aligning with love, abundance, and peace over fear, lack, and separation, the better of an understanding I have humans. When I break it down to this level, I see that any of us can be in one place or the other at any moment in time. We live in duality. None of us are going to make all the right choices, and someone else will make all the wrong choices. I’m no better than a person who is choosing to spend the majority of time aligned with fear, lack, and separation. Seeing them just helps me to work at staying aligned with love, abundance, and peace more, because I KNOW all I need to do is make a series of choices that are aligned with fear, lack, and separation and I will be submerged too. I will project and attract chaos again.

There is not one perfect person on this planet. The people who do their best to stay aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace have daily practices to keep them in that energy. If people are doing the daily work to stay aligned with fear, lack, and separation, they will stay there too. Sometimes if someone refuses to look inward, their life might feel more like they are the ping pong ball bouncing back and forth from light to dark and not understanding why. Understanding the duality of humans keeps me compassionate and empathetic. I know all it takes is a shift in perspective then one action step after another to take us down a chosen path–for better or for worse.

I was having a conversation with a friend the other day. We were talking about how any group can swing one way or the other based on how the people’s energy in the group is at that exact time. The group starts thinking, believing, and acting in a way that reflects the energy being projected by it’s leaders and/or members. If the group starts taking the path of fear, lack, and separation, they can take light-filled messages and fill them with darkness. This can happen within spiritual groups, religious groups, self-help groups, political groups, families, non-profit organizations, corporations, etc. Since we each are capable of spinning based on where our energy is, so is any group we are a part of. This is why it is so important to stay conscious as much as possible.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve been in groups that started on a great foot and somewhere down the line, all I could tell was what the group was against, not what they stood for. Their energy was aligned with what they didn’t want, instead of what they did. When a group is focused on enemies, which is us projecting the energy of fear, lack, and separation out into the world, instead of what we want to see more of, which is us projecting our energy of love, abundance, and peace into the world, we can take any good cause and make it toxic. The group can have great aspirations on paper, but if the people are aligned with what they are against then that is the energy we create more of in the world. That is the crazy thing about our duality. Without being conscious of where we are aligned, we can unknowingly fall down the rabbit hole of all things fear, lack, and separation.

I love that I found a way to understand the duality because it keeps me doing the work to stay aligned. It’s okay that I’m not aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace ALL the time. I will learn from those times. Those times keep me humble. I simply hold myself responsible and accountable and do the best I can to do better next time. It also helps me not to judge others so harshly and not put others on pedestals either. Understanding others is simply a reminder of why I want to keep my energy aligned with love, abundance, and peace.

Today, I commit to considering the duality of humans. On good days, this helps me commit to doing the work to stay aligned with the energy I want to see more of. On bad days, it’s the reminder of the fact that we are just humans doing the best we can with the tools we have. If someone’s life is surrounded by people practicing fear, lack, and separation, without self awareness they will do the same. Without self-awareness, I will do the same. It can’t be true for someone else without being true for me.

Considering the duality of humans is a practice. It’s about catching myself if I’m judging myself or others and/or putting people (including myself) on pedestals. Do I expect others or myself to be better or worse than what is happening in the moment? Is there a learning opportunity? Which side of their humanity am I seeing—their alignments with fear, lack, and separation or with love, abundance, and peace? Do they flow from one to another depending on the topic? Am I a part of any groups that are more aligned with fear, lack, and separation even if the cause is about love, abundance, and peace?

I have to make sure I can answer what the groups I’m with stand for better than I can explain what they are against. If I have a passing thought like someone is my enemy, how are my thoughts of them aligning me with fear, lack, and separation? This is just a little insight into how my mind works to help me be more compassionate to other humans by considering the duality of our ability to live in love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation at any given moment.

With Love, Abundance, and Peace,
