I’m grateful for being able to surrender. My ego once kept me from surrendering. I wanted to believe I had to keep holding on to what hurt me. I believed that my suffering was essential. I didn’t want to release in fear of EVERYTHING that could be if I did. I would pray to God to take pain away, but then I would take it back. This was a vicious cycle that ended up with me struggling time and time again. When I was finally at the breaking point where I thought everything was coming to a fiery end, I broke through by being vulnerable enough to fully surrender.
The worry of what is going to be, the fears of repeating past mistakes, the constant questioning of what is right or wrong, good vs. bad, and all the other incessant messages that play in my head like broken records, they DO NOT SERVE me in any way! The simple act of surrender helps me release it all to help me break free from the story and trust the reality that unfolds. I’m grateful when I can see myself go down the spiral and say, “I surrender, you know better than I do and I trust that this situation will serve my highest good. Please let me remain open to what I need to see that will take me deeper into my alignment with the energy of love, abundance, and peace.” Just typing the words puts my heart at peace. Knowing that the option to surrender is there keeps me from ever feeling hopeless. I know it’s available when I’m ready to get out of my own way.

Today, I commit to surrounding what is weighing me down. Carrying worry isn’t serving me. I don’t ever have to carry any energy that doesn’t serve my highest good. If I’m not in the energy of love, abundance, and peace, I am responsible and accountable for getting myself out of the energy of fear, lack, and separation. Here’s some of the ways I will commit to this today:
- If I’m listening to a story playing in my head that is stirring up the energy of fear, lack, and separation, I will CHOOSE to surrender.
- If I’m consumed with what-ifs and should have, would have, and could have, I will CHOOSE to surrender.
- If I’m focusing my energy on fears of the unknown future, I will CHOOSE to surrender.
- If I’m holding onto the past and can’t see the blessing, I will CHOOSE to surrender.
- If I’m holding on so tight to the way I think something should be and not accepting what is, I will CHOOSE to surrender.
When I surrender, I open myself up to see clearly. I open myself up to the many blessings that come from Divine guidance, Divine timing, Divine connections, and Divine abundance. If I’m in the chaos, I will miss the gifts that the moment has to offer me. I love my gifts. I’m going to choose to allow them to flow in. That is what I do when I open up to the healing power of surrender.

With Love, Abundance, and Peace,
