I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of crystals. I’ve always been fascinated by the symbolic meanings of different crystals. When I was fourteen, a counselor named Margaret made me a medicine bag full of different crystals to assist me on my journey. I still have the bag today. The bag has all the original crystals she put in, plus special ones I’ve collected along the way. Margaret is who introduced me to the symbolic meanings of crystals. After my time with her, I remember visiting crystal shops and listening to the store owners and employees in AWE of all the details. As I started working with different healers, I became fascinated on how, when, and why they would use crystals in their healing practices. I love reading about what each crystal means, but very few have stuck in my head. I tend to trust the energy I feel from them more than anything.

The rose quartz is one of my favorite reminders to live from a loving place even when faced with the darkness in the world. This is probably the one I carry with me most often. Since living from a loving place is the path I’ve chosen, I tend to be drawn to things that remind me to stick with it.

Over the years of going into crystal stores, working with with healers, and being educating by crystal enthusiasts, I’ve discover that I get clear signs when I’m meant to add a crystal to my collection. I’m no stranger to asking the Universe for guidance and being open to receive it. I love when I’m working through something and then all the sudden someone starts talking about a crystal that’s energy is supposed to help with the very thing I’m working on, I ALWAYS trust that Divine timing. One of the signs I love the most is when I physically feel the energy of the crystal pulling me towards it, whether it’s a crystal from my own collection or someone else’s, I like to look up what the particular crystal represents when that kind of stuff happens.

When I was putting together the crystals for this photo, I felt a very strong energy radiating off of one of them, so after I was finished taking the photo, I put it next to my bed. For me it’s about adding some good vibes around me to help protect, center, ground, and lift my energy.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of crystals. I feel like going through my crystals today! It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten in touch with how different crystals affect my energy. I plan on saying a little prayer and asking for Divine guidance to lead me to the crystals that will help me stay aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace. I will see where I’m led and then look up what the crystals mean. If the meaning resonates, I will put them in the places that feel right. One of the many things I’ve learned on this journey is that it’s important to trust the guidance I’m feeling when my energy is aligned with love, abundance, and peace. This also means that it’s important for me to question myself when I’m aligning with the energy of fear, lack, and separation, because when I follow that guidance I tend to travel on some very dark and treacherous paths.

The thing I love about crystals is that there tends to be one for EVERYTHING! Whether I’m working on protecting, grounding, centering, loving, feeling, energizing, etc., there’s a crystal for that. The crystal acts as a reminder to align my energy with what I want instead of focusing my energy on what I don’t want. Wherever I put my energy, will expand. If holding or seeing a particular crystal help me, then I trust it’s on my journey for a reason. The beautiful thing is when I put my energy in the right places, miracles happen!
