Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #305

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of the red-winged blackbird. I didn’t plan on writing about this bird. It’s funny because I just recently saw the bird for the first time a few months back. As I was writing yesterday about the the tufted titmouse, I went outside and sat on the grass observing the red-winged blackbird at the feeder. When I went inside, I looked up the symbolic meaning. As I’m reading, one flies to the bird feeder outside my window. Yes, that was my sign. I had planned to end the segment on symbolic meanings yesterday. Just one more reminder about my timing and Divine timing, LOL. I’m happy I got the sign, because I love what I read.

Side Note

When I was writing about the tufted titmouse, I was drawn to a website that had a message that truly resonated with me. I went back to read about the red-winged blackbird and WOW, I love the symbolism and messages from Quornesha S. Lemon. Now, this doesn’t mean I have to agree with absolutely everything she has written or will write about. One of my favorite sayings from my days in AL-ANON was, “Take what you like, and leave the rest.” Some seeds will resonate enough to want to plant in my garden and others won’t. It doesn’t mean that what is right for me isn’t wrong for someone else and vice versa. It’s not mine to judge, only to observe and feel what aligns with my highest self in this moment. I say this because, I want anyone who reads this to understand, we are going to all perceive and absorb what we see, hear, taste, feel, touch, and smell differently. The beauty of symbolic messages is what resonates with us is what is meant for us. If someone shares something that doesn’t, it just means the message is not aligned (meaning aligned with the energy of fear, lack, and separation instead of love, abundance, and peace), not meant for us, and/or a truth we are not quite ready to see yet. If that is the case, it is just one step in the awareness process. Sometimes we will first resist because we don’t want to give up some other perspective of truth that is aligned with the energy of fear, lack, and separation. I have learned to love watching how this journey unfolds.

Everything I read about the red-winged blackbird resonated from Quornesha S. Lemon’s page (click name to read her full message). Here’s how it begins:

The Red Winged Black Bird is a message that we are releasing past obstacles, and restrictions in our lives and within our beliefs. We are beginning to emerge and awaken to the truth of matters…

Quornesha S. Lemon

All I could do was nod my head and say, “YES, YES, YES!” This resonates with where I am in this moment. Most of my inner work right now is about releasing alignments with the energy of fear, lack, and separation that come from old perspectives of truths that are no longer serving me. I’ve been noticing so many synchronicities as I’m diving deeper into this releasing process. Looking up the symbolic meanings of the red-winged blackbird and having one fly up at that very moment and then talking on the phone to my partner about the bird, and it flies up to the window. These are just a couple within the last two days, but I will be writing more about that tomorrow. I just love how if I remain open, I will get the messages the Universe is trying to reveal to me, and I am so incredibly grateful for that.

I also loved the breakdown in the colors and their meanings of the red-winged blackbird. Lemon states, “The red symbolizing power and passion, and black representing renewal and release of energies, frequencies or vibrations. They yellow is a sign of illumination and enlightenment. Bringing projects and ideas to fruition and into the physical realm and world.” The majority of red on the red-winged blackbird is visible when they fly. I’ve tried to get video and/or a picture, but haven’t been able to so far. There are tons of videos on YouTube if you are interested in seeing one yourself.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of the red-winged blackbird. I will do this by questioning the thoughts and beliefs that are getting in my way of living abundantly in the different areas of my life: health, spirituality, relationships (with others and myself), career, and/or finances. Then, I will ask myself a few simple questions:

  • What are alternative beliefs that would align my energy with love, abundance, and peace?
  • How would it feel to embrace this new perspective of truth that allows me to live in abundance (ask for every perspective I’m introducing and pay attention to which ones truly resonate)?
  • What would my thoughts, actions, and responses be if I believed in this new perspective of truth?

After asking myself these questions, I will sit in my awareness and accept where I am in the moment. Up until this point, I believed differently. I will allow my perspectives to shift and change as new thoughts and beliefs percolate and come into fruition. I understand this process may take time, but I know it is all apart of the journey, and I KNOW it is WORTH it!

I hope you have enjoyed this segment of the Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace series on symbolic meanings. I know I have been truly amazed in what has come up for me the past 21 days! I didn’t even realize that was how long I’ve been doing this. If you missed one that you want to read, here are the topics and links:

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #304

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of the tufted titmouse.Tap, tap, tap, it’s time. My little friend let’s me know that today is the day I share the experiences I’ve had with this adorable creature. Recently, my partner put a bird feeder outside of my window. When I got it, I was hoping to attract the cardinals, blue jays, and red-winged blackbirds. We put out a protected bird feeder for the little birds too, but I had no idea what I was in store for. In yesterday’s post, I mentioned a couple of birds that will actual tap on my window to get me to pay attention, this one is one of those birds.

This is the one that tapped on my window right before I wrote this piece.

One day, I sat watching the feeder and this little grey bird shows up with the cutest little tuft that I have ever seen. I’m fascinated! At the time, I had already started writing my symbolic meanings segment of the series. So, of course I looked up this adorable bird. The first thing I discovered is that it was a tufted titmouse. Then, I looked up the symbolic meaning and this is what I read:

The Tufted Titmouse is a message that you may think that your contributions or abilities are mere, ‘gifts’ but they are impactful and empowering to so many that you may not yet be aware of. You spread hope and indemnify spiritual illnesses. Sometimes without even trying. You make a difference.

Quornesha S. Lemon (website source in name)

I LOVE that.  My heart sang and I felt aligned with the highest good in that moment, which is one of the indications when I know a message is meant for me. As if the visit from this little messenger wasn’t enough, now he/she shows up and knocks on my window if I’m not paying attention. I pay close attention to what I’m doing and thinking when I hear that knock now. The little tufted titmouse reminds me that I’m doing what I’m meant to do and loving every second of it.

What I had forgotten about is that I’ve seen this bird before. I was telling my friend the story about my little visitor and she reminded me that we saw them when we went on our writing trip in the summer of 2020. I start looking through the pictures, and sure enough, I see the tufted titmouse. What is interesting is that it wasn’t long after the trip that I started writing the Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace series. It was being in the energy of love, abundance, and peace up there that made me want to commit to doing the work so that I could feel it daily without having to get away to connect and align. It was 2020, I knew I needed all the help I could get. Seeing the symbolic meanings not only helped me to connect to even more to what I’m doing right now, but finding that second piece out helped me connect more to the journey that brought me to where I am right now. The whole idea brings me so much peace—tears are welling up in my eyes.

In the mountains of North Carolina 2020

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of the tufted titmouse. I’m blessed to have the reminder knocking at my window. I take those kind of signs to heart. Living from a loving place is my calling. I love finding knew and creative ways to align my energy with love, abundance, and peace daily as you can see if you’ve been following along. The tufted titmouse is my reminder to stay the course.

I’m here doing what I do for a reason. My journey has not been an easy one, but every experience has helped me to be able to connect with the people who are drawn to my work and/or me as a person. I show up, just like the this little tufted titmouse did for me this morning. Today, I will continue to make sure I keep showing up! If you are here reading this piece, you are reading this for a reason, but only you can know what that reason is. Go within, consider this the tufted titmouse knocking at your window. We are all making a difference in this world. Every choice we make is helping the world to align with the energy of love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation. The questions I ask myself are:

  • What are my gifts I can offer the world?
  • How do I keep my gifts aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace?
  • What is my daily work to stay aligned with the change I want to create today?
  • What energy am I projecting in this moment? How do I amplify the love and embrace the fear to be able to move through it?
  • How am I empowering myself today?

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of blue jays. Since I got my new bird feeder outside my window, I’ve attracted some new friends to my life. A couple of them even come to see me when I’m filling the bird feeders. As you can tell by the images below, my blue jay friends have no problem with me taking pictures. A couple of the birds even make sure that I’m paying attention if they see that I’m writing and not looking out the window. The first bird to knock on my window was the blue jay, so of course, I looked up the symbolic meanings of blue jays, and I the messages resonated.

My little visitor

The key elements that resonated with me were:

  • Clarity
  • Vision
  • Communication
  • Loyalty
  • Community leaders
  • Assertiveness
  • Determination

There were so many more. Every page I found went deeper and deeper, but I felt these were the areas that were covered in the dozens of articles I read that I felt really connected me to my blue jay friends. I will definitely be seeing the blue jay as a reminder to pay attention to where my energy is aligned in these areas. ESPECIALLY when he comes knocking at my window. Anytime, I see something that I feel connected to, I go within to see where I am in the moment. There is usually a link between something I’ve asked the Universe and seeing what I’m seeing in that moment. The key is paying attention to how my body, mind, and soul align in the moment.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of blue jays. This one is not hard for me at all since I see them out my window hourly throughout the day. Here are some the questions I think about when I’m embracing their symbolism:

  • Am I communicating clearly and from the heart?
  • Am I seeing my visions of how I want to live in this moment clearly?
  • Am I showing myself loyalty and projecting that loyalty to the people I care about?
  • Am I representing what I stand for in my thoughts, beliefs, actions, reactions, and responses to myself and others?
  • Am I doing the work to project out to the world what I want to see more of?
  • Am I being a good life partner to myself?
  • Am I being a leader in the community by being compassionate, thoughtful, empathetic, respectful, kind, accepting, honest, peace-minded, and loving? Because I have to be the change that I want to see!

I’m so grateful to the blue jays who come offering me these wonderful reminders, while also keeping me entertained and smiling throughout the day.

If what you are reading resonates with you, make sure to come back daily to find more ways to align with the energy of love, abundance, and peace over fear, lack, and separation. Thank you for showing up today, I’m so happy you are here.

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #302

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of flames. I love losing myself in the flames of a campfire. There is something magical and soothing about watching the flames dance. When I think of what flames represent, I light up inside…pun intended. Some of the ones I connect to most are the light within, the eternal flame, the spark that lights the fire, the white flame (flame of purity, intention, choice, and creation), and the torch to light the way. As I sit in a candlelit room, I know serenity. I feel instant peace even though up until this point I’ve been going non-stop. The candles remind me to slow down, take conscious breaths, and just BE.

I see the shadow of the flame being what happens when a fire loses control and becomes a wildfire. I see that as what happens when we lose ourselves in the chaos of the doing and forget to go within and get out of our story and just be.

I love staring at the single flame of a candle and listening to the wisdom that follows. I’m always amazed at the things that come to me when I slow down and just allow myself be in the state of I AM.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of flames. Sometimes I forget how wonderful I feel when I simply light a candle and allow myself to just be. When I allow myself to be, I’m open to receive. Whether I’m watching the flames dance or I’m focusing on a single flame, I free. This is the true meaning of Serenity Now. Serenity is in the being, not the doing. If I want to be in the state of serenity while doing, that takes presence and being fully centered. A simple lighting of a candle, playing meditation music, and allowing my energy to slow down into alignment with love, abundance, and peace puts me at one with my own inner flame. I like to think of it as the Divine flame, the state of I AM.

I embrace the symbolic meaning of flames when I allow myself to shine as my authentic self. For me, that’s when I can move with being into the doing, like a flame dancing. I feel AWE when I think of the purity of that image.

I absolutely love this journey I’m on doing this daily aligning with love, abundance, and peace. It’s been 302 days! My energy is more aligned than it has ever been for an extended period of time. I hope if you are following along with me that you are noticing shifts in your life. Thank you to all the followers who have reached out. I love hearing about your journeys. Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #301

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of trees. I’ve felt grounded and centered around trees as far back as I can remember. I’ve always loved taking woods walks and being among them. When I was in my late twenties, I visited the largest Banyan tree I had ever seen. I grew up around Banyan trees, yet never fully appreciated them until that moment visiting the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Ft. Myers, Florida. I left with a seedling from that very tree. I watched the seedling grow into a large tree, but the tree wasn’t walking like the one that inspired me to get it. I remember a man at the local plant nursery telling me that it’s not spreading because the energy is being distributed to the top of the tree. If I wanted the tree to sprawl, I had to take off some of the deadweight from the top of the tree, because that is where the energy that is needed to spread is going to. I really wanted my tree to be free to be as magnificent as it could be.

This is a glimpse of the Banyan tree from the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. This is just a small portion of one very large sprawling tree. It’s called walking when a branch drops roots from the branches back into the soil.

So I climbed up the tree.

I start by pulling all the dead branches down one by one. I felt like I was setting the tree free. All this energy was going into dead ends keeping the tree trapped from growing into her full potential. AHA-moment, I’m putting my energy into places that are keeping me trapped. I kept pulling branch by branch, I need to pay attention to where I’m putting my energy. I’m not living my life, I’m putting all my energy into trying to control things I have no control over, dead ends. I’m focusing my energy on other people’s lives–DEAD ENDS! I kept pulling, tears start filling my eyes as I start seeing clearly what I need to do to set myself free—GO WITHIN!

Once I removed the deadweight, the tree started to walk. That tree taught me a lesson about energy that will live with me for the rest of my life. It also changed the way I look at trees in general. The energy that travels through a trees roots (my beliefs); travels through the trunk (how I processes things); and into the branches (what I project out to the world). The health of the branches depends on what is coming in from the ground and in from the environment, which will then determine the life of the leaves and/or flowers (my experiences that come and go). I see the sun, air, water, moon, and clouds as the Universal Unseen, this can be God, spirits, collective energy, etc. This all influences the trees life. I remind myself that I don’t HAVE to fully understand the workings of the unknown, I just see them all as working together to serve the Universal highest good.

Now, I don’t have time to go into all my symbolic meanings related to trees, but I hope I gave you enough to see their overall influence on my journey. I find every time I write about them, I go a little deeper. That’s the beauty of all these symbolic meanings is that they can grow, change, expand, and evolve over time.

I often remind myself that all our symbolic meanings for things are going to be a little different based on what we need to understand and process at the time. It’s not my business to judge other people’s symbolic meanings for things. I like to look at how symbolic meanings can work in my life to help me serve the highest good. I believe that tapping into symbolic meanings is one of the ways the Divine communes with me. This is one of the reasons one of my favorite places to be is in the woods. I tend to find some meaning in nature that serves the highest good.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of trees. One of the things I love doing is putting my hands on the trunk of a tree and feeling the tree’s energy while thanking it for it’s service to our planet. I love looking at old trees and thinking about everything they have felt energetically over the centuries. I feel the AWE when I just stop and look at their magnificence. Today, I’m going to do a grounding and centering exercise I love using the imagery of a tree. Here’s how I do it:

  1. I go outside and put my bare feet on the ground
  2. Take a deep breath in
  3. While I release my breath, I imagine my energy creating roots in the Earth
  4. I visualize my roots going as deep as I can
  5. I breathe in and imagine the purest energy of the Earth coming up through my roots, into my trunk (my body), and through my branches (limbs)
  6. I repeat until I feel grounded in a peaceful and light-filled energy.

I love this reminder to stay grounded, centered, and aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace, because that is what sets me free.

I filmed this after I wrote this piece, but wanted to add it in for you. Enjoy!

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #300

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of the number 3. I’ve been noticing the significance of this number a lot lately. Three parts coming together to completion keeps showing up as a reoccurring theme. I see this in nature, humanity, spirituality, religion, triangles, and the overall keys to enlightenment and darkness in any area of life. The number 3 is the triad and represents the beginning, middle, and end—COMPLETION. I’ve been amazed at just how many combination of threes that I found that bring me back to oneness, which is completion. I’m also getting to see how the polarity of this works too, which is fascinating.

When this blog series came to me, I knew that focusing on the energy of love, abundance, and peace over fear, lack, and separation is what would reconnect me with the oneness of all that is. Even though I know it’s all apart of love, seeing the three separately reminds me to look at the different areas, because at any moment I can be in love or fear, abundance or lack, and/or peace or separation. Experiencing and acknowledging both sides helps me see where I WANT to be clearly. One brings me back to oneness and one makes me feel separate, which is what fear feeds on. When I’m fully aligned with love, abundance, and peace in a moment, I feel complete. But, just as I can feel complete in light, that means it’s also possible to be complete in dark, which is fully aligning with the energy of fear, lack, and separation.

I want to be clear, every human has the ability to embrace light energy or dark energy in every moment we exist. What I didn’t understand for a VERY LONG TIME is my choice in the matter. I didn’t see how I was choosing to feed my energy of love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation. For a number of years, decades really, I was feeding the energy fear, lack, and separation unconsciously until I felt completely empty and worthless. I was so aligned with the energy of fear, lack, and separation that I turned against myself and abused myself. Some people align fully with this energy and use it to abuse and tear others down…noticing how this works has truly empowered my life in the best of ways. Seeing I was either contributing to energy that tears humanity apart or brings humanity together was the clarity I needed, and it came in the awareness of the power of 3.

I find that my mind, at least now is attracted to finding the trinity (triad) the threes that bring things to completion. Here are some of the ones that are coming to mind that have served me over years, am fascinated by, and/or are newly acquired areas of exploration (I know there are so many more, please feel free to list any in the comments that come to mind):

  • Beginning, Middle, End
  • Love, Abundance, Peace
  • Body, Mind, Soul
  • Awareness, Acceptance, Action
  • Father, Son, Holy Spirit
  • The Three Jewels of Buddhism: The Buddha (the teacher),The Dharma (the teachings), The Sangha (the community)
  • Caterpillar, Chrysalis, Butterfly
  • Me, Myself, I
  • Decision-Making/ Problem-Solving: Clarify, Consider, Choose
  • Past, Present, Future
  • Ocean, Land, Sky
  • Earth, Sun, Moon
  • The Serenity Prayer: “God, grant me the serenity to (1) accept the things I cannot change; (2)the courage to change the things I can; and (3)the wisdom to know the difference.”
  • ALANON Three Cs (referring to loved ones addictions), because becoming aware of, accepting, and putting energy into what an individual can change is essential for living a peaceful life: “(1)I didn’t cause it, (2)I can’t control it, (3)I can’t cure it.”
  • Quote from Conversations with God Book One by Neal Donald Walsch (in reference to how God communicates with us), “Mine is always (1)your Highest Thought,(2) your Clearest Word, (3)your Grandest Feeling. Anything less is from another source…Joy, truth, love.”

As I was writing this list, I needed to take a break to read Conversations with God, because my book buddy and I are reading it together. I felt a very strong pull to get to page 30 (UK 1997 version). Just before my break was about to end, the book started going into the trinity and the power of three. On page 30, I read this:

“Knowing is a divine state, yet the grandest joy is in the being, Being is achieved only after experience. The evolution is this: knowing, experiencing, being. This is the Holy Trinity—the Triune that is God.”

Neale Donald Walsch, Conversations with God: Book 1, Hodder & Stougton, London, 1997, p.30.

Instantly, I’m brought to a moment of AWE just reading this.

Here are some of my pieces that I used the power of three to make my points (Click titles to read):

Today, I commit embracing the symbolic meanings of the number 3. For me, this means focusing on a power of three that inspires me to live my best life NOW. How can I apply a power of three to a moment, dream, goal, task, adventure, etc.? The power of three that I’ve been working with the most right now is love, abundance, and peace. When I can fully align my energy in these three areas, I feel closest to Divine energy. I may experience the feeling for a moment or an extension of moments, but when I’m there I feel complete and whole; inspired by the moment; and fully connected to all that is. In that moment, I’m not making any negative judgments of others or myself. My thoughts, communications, and feelings are all fully aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace. I love consciously creating from this space.

Now, just because I’m creating from this place most often, doesn’t mean in another moment I won’t be creating from another place, but the great thing is that if I’m fully aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace while doing it, I ALWAYS get to the same feelings of completion: I feel connected to self; connected to Spirit; and connected to all that is and is yet to be.

When I’m connected to my shadow side—the energy of fear, lack, and separation, I get to see a little deeper into places that remind me to feel compassion for people who are stuck there. When I go there, I’m reminded why I do what I do; live how I live; and share what I share. The world needs love, and I can only give love if I’m aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace. That is a moment to moment alignment. When I go within, I stay accountable and responsible for what I’m contributing to the world.

Every human has a shadow, this doesn’t make a person unworthy and/or unlovable. Embracing my shadow is apart of aligning with the energy of love, abundance, and peace, because if I’m judging, shaming, and blaming myself or others, I will continued to stay aligned with that energy as I project it out to the world. Even if today I slip into my shadow which aligns me with a power of 3 to the other side, I will make the most out of going there to gain perspective that has the power to strengthen my ability to align with the energy of love, abundance, and peace in the next moment. This fits into being connected to all that is yet to be. It’s all about trusting the journey.

I find that when I looking to threes for support, they provide me with clarity, connection, and commitment. I find clarity in the awareness, connection in the acceptance, and commitment in the action. See, even using a different set of three, it still brings me back to completion and oneness. I can do this all day long, which is what I love most about embracing the symbolic meanings of the number 3.

With Love, Abundance, and Peace,

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #299

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of the number 9. My connection to the number 9 began on the day I was born, because I was born on the 9th day of the month. My sister and my father were both born on the 27th day (9×3=27). When my dad’s partner brought in two daughters both were born on the 9th day of the months they were each born in. My dad felt very strongly about his connection to the number 9 that he even passed away with a 9 in his timing and he wanted his 9. The more I began to pay attention to the number 9, the more significant it became in my life and the more meanings I found.

After my dad passed, I looked up the meaning of the number 9 and I remember feeling fully connected to seeing the meaning—completion of Divine will. I had a tattoo artist design a tattoo for me highlighting the number 9. Over it, the word “Protected”. The tattoo artist could only fit me in on 9th. The overall meaning of my tattoo is that I’m protected by Divine will. At the time this was happening, I was separated from my then husband. I remembered spending years praying to learn what I need to learn so that I could find my joy again. I told God that I would stay if that is what the Divine wanted of me, but I got CLEAR, and I mean CRYSTAL CLEAR signs when it was time to go, and I mean down to the day. When the divorce officially came through, it was on the 9th. I had no say or control over the day this happened, it just happened to be the day the judge signed off on the uncontested paperwork. For me, it was that final exhale that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I have so many stories of beginnings and endings that all fell on 9s. I also have many wonderful adventures where the number 9 showed up in absolute Divine timing.

Here are some empowering meanings that make me feel aligned with the number 9:

  • Completion of Divine will
  • Fulfilling purpose
  • Highest energy vibrations for single-digit numbers
  • Universal love
  • Spiritual Enlightenment
  • Service to humanity
  • Divine timing
  • Path of humanitarianism
  • Connecting ALL things

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of the number 9. There is no doubt my purpose is aligned with serving humanity from a loving place. I’m led down this path daily! The number 9 often shows up to remind me not only of my purpose, but to trust in Divine timing! I LOVE when those reminders pop up to show me how amazingly things line up when I stay where my feet are and just keep trusting my journey. If I want to get the most out of embracing the the symbolic meaning of the number 9, I do these things when the number 9 jumps out at me:

  • Pay attention to what is happening in my mind in that moment
  • Pay attention to any physical sensations
  • Trust that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be
  • Thank the Divine for showing me a clear sign that I am where I’m supposed to be
  • I embrace the feeling of Universal love
  • I check to see if my energy is aligned with love, abundance, and peace
  • Acknowledge and be grateful for any Divine timing moments that I notice (It could be something I read, hear, experience, or see)
  • I look to see if there is a way I can service humanity in that moment
  • I pay attention if I feel led to go, do, or write something…then I do it!

These are in no particular order and I don’t do each one of them every time I see the number 9. I get a sense of what I need to bring to the moment, and I do those particular things. I trust what feels right, which is part of me trusting my intuition.

Do you notice the number 9 at pivotal times in your life?

I hope you are enjoying the journey of aligning with love, abundance, and peace. Follow along daily if these messages resonate with you. You can also go back to the Home page and see what other posts help you feel more connected. Have a blessed and beautiful day!

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #297

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of hearts. If there was ever a symbol to remind me to love and be loved, it’s the heart. I’ve given and received countless heart cards and presents over the years. I’ve drawn, cut-out, painted, colored, and applied countless hearts to everything from doodles to art projects. I put hearts on letters, texts, and social media posts. I love that I see hearts in nature both in plant-life and wildlife. Hearts are everywhere when I put my focus on seeing them—the same goes for love.

Beyond love, the heart is key to our very being. The better our hearts function, the better we function. They are our connection to life itself. If our hearts don’t work, neither do our vessels for this life. As I think about all the physical functions of the heart, I see why love is so important for it’s flow and function. When we love ourselves, we take care of our vessels for life. We honor them as the temples that they are. Hearts need good foods, exercise, water, and energy to function at their best. When I love myself, I do these things naturally because I can intuitively hear what my bodies asking for.

I remember both times when I was pregnant, I was filled with so much love for the unborn lives living inside me that I took better care of my body than I had since I could remember. I didn’t realize it at the time, but once my babies were out of me and no longer dependent on my body for food outside of me, I started letting my care for myself slip, but it wasn’t long after my second child stopped nursing that I REALLY saw that I was not being a good example for them if I was not taking care of myself, and I was letting others mistreat me. I was unconsciously showing them patterns of beliefs and behaviors that would cause them pain as they got older. When that awakening began, I looked up the definition of love. From that point on, I began doing the work to take care of my vessel—body, mind, and soul. From that point on my heart function physically, emotionally, and energetically became more important than ever. That is when I started to planting the seeds to create the internal garden of my dreams. It all began with honoring the call of my heart to love.

Hearts carry so many symbolic meanings for me. The strength of who I am relies on the function of my heart. Hearts are a reminder for me to take care of my body, mind, and soul. The more I show my heart love and respect, the better everything works inside of me, which in-turn projects out of me and then is attracted back. Therefore, when I’m better, the reality I create is better. When I take care of my heart, I feel my intuition flow like the blood in my veins. I’m in AWE just thinking about everything the heart represents.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of hearts. There are countless ways to take on this commit, but for me it all begins with self-care. I have learned when I put my own oxygen mask on first, I have the ability to serve others from a loving place instead of a place of lack. There is a big difference! One place expands me and the other depletes me. The stories that play in my head are my sign posts to tell me if I’m serving from a place of lack or love. I have to do work to live in the energy of love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation. Here’s my plan to embrace the heart today:

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Eat heart healthy foods
  • Walk (10,000 steps min.) and stretch to exercise my heart
  • Meditate
  • Read a book that inspires me to love more
  • Watch shows and/or videos that inspire me to love more
  • Align myself with love, abundance, and peace by writing about things that inspire me
  • Engage in loving actions with anyone I encounter
  • Speak only love on social media
  • Speak only love out in the world

I’m grateful for the symbolic meaning of an anchor. One of the jobs of an anchor is to help keep a boat stable and safe in a storm. Taken to the highest level, I consider one of the many jobs of our Divine creator. I also acknowledge that I want to be a person who helps others feel safe and stable through the throws of life’s storms. In this moment, I exhale completely in acknowledgment of all the amazing anchors who I’ve been blessed with throughout this journey.

When times are tough, I love knowing that I have those people who are Divinely led to me to hold my hand through the storm. Have you ever noticed the people who show up in Divine timing? I do. I’m forever grateful to those who have been an anchor for me.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meaning of an anchor. I love the saying on the anchor below, “Love anchors the soul.” Love keeps the soul safe. With today’s commitment, I’m thinking of ways I can be an anchor in my and other people’s lives. The best way I can think of to do this is to show up with love everywhere I go today. It doesn’t matter what I’m thinking, saying, feeling, or doing. As long as I show up to the moment with love, I’m embracing the job of being that anchor.

I will also remember to pray, because the Divine is my ultimate anchor. I am protected by a love that is greater than any human understanding. Just that thought puts my soul at peace.

I’m grateful for the symbolic meaning of rocks. For me, rocks represent stability, grounding, and immovable truths. When I consider stability, I think about the life of a rock. A rock lasts the test of time, which is why cairns (man-made rock stacks) are used as navigational tools for trails. When I need a grounding thought, I think about smooth and shiny rocks. They have gotten tumbled and knocked around to be that smooth and shiny. It reminds me that surviving all the traumas, getting the help to smooth my sharp edges, and keep working through it all is apart of what makes me shine the way I do today. I didn’t run from being tumbled. Smooth and shiny rocks remind me to face the hard stuff and feel my way through it. When I need a reminder of an immovable truth, I think of a mountain of rock. Despite the rain, sleet, snow, tornadoes, and hurricanes, the mountain stands solid. They do not fight for the truth of who they are, they stand in it. Who they are is clear. When I stand in my truth, who I am is clear.

I consider I AM as an immovable truth, but everything that follows moves, changes, and shifts. When I’m living in the concept of I AM, I’m in the being and not doing. I’m not trying to be anything else. My actions become stabile and grounded in the knowing that I AM is always enough. Feels, thoughts, perspectives of truth (beliefs), and actions can all change, but I AM is an immovable truth until I AM no longer.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meaning of rocks. I’m going to use today as a reminder to be in the energy I AM, which means that I’m focusing on being instead of doing. A great practice in being is rock balancing. Rock balancing is about being present, patient, and focused. When I’m balancing rocks, I’m 100% in the moment. The exercise itself leaves me feeling centered, stable and grounded—I AM.

It’s also about time that I open up to find a new rock for my collection. I will ask the Divine to reveal it to me. I always love what presents itself to me when I do this!

If you are planning on doing this exercise out in nature, please check the rules and/or laws about building cairns where you are. Some places don’t allow it because they use them as trail markers. Others places, welcome rock balancing as a spiritual practice.
