Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #139

I’m grateful for sentimental gifts. These are my favorite kinds of gifts. I love when I see that gift where I say to myself, “I have to get this for…” I know in that moment, something about the gift has touched a memory of the person I’m buying it for. Then there are those homemade gifts I LOVE to make, but don’t always have the time. Years ago, I would spread all my art supplies across a giant table on my back lanai and from the day after Thanksgiving to the day before Christmas, I was making gifts. When time became a factor, I went down the path of personalized gifts. I love looking through pictures and memories to pick ones that will best represent the person I’m giving the gift to. Then there are years like this year, where time slipped away from me, but it doesn’t stop me from my mission. The people in my life matter, and whether I simply make a collage photo that I send in a text or make them a love list as my friend, Sherry Richert-Belul talks about in her book, Say it Now. There is always a sentimental way to let the people we love know that we care. The amount of money we spend never matters when it is a gift from the heart. Oh, and if it does to the person we are giving it to, just remember. That is their stuff. Keep focusing on how giving them what you did makes you feel, because sentimental gifts have a way of filling our hearts with the energy of love, abundance, and peace.

Today, I commit to finding and/or creating sentimental gifts for the people I love. Like I said above, this year got away from me a little bit. I’m determined to be creative and give from the heart. These don’t have to cost a penny. The most important part about the gifts that I give this year is that the people I’m giving them to feel seen and appreciated. I can’t make them feel that way, but I find when I truly put my heart into showing someone I love them, I exude that energy. Unless they are stuck in fear, lack, and separation, they feel it. If they can’t, I understand that it’s because of where they are. They have my seeds of love and appreciation when they are ready to accept them.

With Love, Abundance, and Peace,
