I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of the tufted titmouse.Tap, tap, tap, it’s time. My little friend let’s me know that today is the day I share the experiences I’ve had with this adorable creature. Recently, my partner put a bird feeder outside of my window. When I got it, I was hoping to attract the cardinals, blue jays, and red-winged blackbirds. We put out a protected bird feeder for the little birds too, but I had no idea what I was in store for. In yesterday’s post, I mentioned a couple of birds that will actual tap on my window to get me to pay attention, this one is one of those birds.

One day, I sat watching the feeder and this little grey bird shows up with the cutest little tuft that I have ever seen. I’m fascinated! At the time, I had already started writing my symbolic meanings segment of the series. So, of course I looked up this adorable bird. The first thing I discovered is that it was a tufted titmouse. Then, I looked up the symbolic meaning and this is what I read: 

The Tufted Titmouse is a message that you may think that your contributions or abilities are mere, ‘gifts’ but they are impactful and empowering to so many that you may not yet be aware of. You spread hope and indemnify spiritual illnesses. Sometimes without even trying. You make a difference.

I LOVE that.  My heart sang and I felt aligned with the highest good in that moment, which is one of the indications when I know a message is meant for me. As if the visit from this little messenger wasn’t enough, now he/she shows up and knocks on my window if I’m not paying attention. I pay close attention to what I’m doing and thinking when I hear that knock now. The little tufted titmouse reminds me that I’m doing what I’m meant to do and loving every second of it.

What I had forgotten about is that I’ve seen this bird before. I was telling my friend the story about my little visitor and she reminded me that we saw them when we went on our writing trip in the summer of 2020. I start looking through the pictures, and sure enough, I see the tufted titmouse. What is interesting is that it wasn’t long after the trip that I started writing the Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace series. It was being in the energy of love, abundance, and peace up there that made me want to commit to doing the work so that I could feel it daily without having to get away to connect and align. It was 2020, I knew I needed all the help I could get. Seeing the symbolic meanings not only helped me to connect to even more to what I’m doing right now, but finding that second piece out helped me connect more to the journey that brought me to where I am right now. The whole idea brings me so much peace—tears are welling up in my eyes.

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of the tufted titmouse. I’m blessed to have the reminder knocking at my window. I take those kind of signs to heart. Living from a loving place is my calling. I love finding knew and creative ways to align my energy with love, abundance, and peace daily as you can see if you’ve been following along. The tufted titmouse is my reminder to stay the course.

I’m here doing what I do for a reason. My journey has not been an easy one, but every experience has helped me to be able to connect with the people who are drawn to my work and/or me as a person. I show up, just like the this little tufted titmouse did for me this morning. Today, I will continue to make sure I keep showing up! If you are here reading this piece, you are reading this for a reason, but only you can know what that reason is. Go within, consider this the tufted titmouse knocking at your window. We are all making a difference in this world. Every choice we make is helping the world to align with the energy of love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation. The questions I ask myself are:

• What are my gifts I can offer the world?
• How do I keep my gifts aligned with the energy of love, abundance, and peace?
• What is my daily work to stay aligned with the change I want to create today?
• What energy am I projecting in this moment? How do I amplify the love and embrace the fear to be able to move through it?
• How am I empowering myself today?
