Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #144

I’m grateful for when God says, “no” or “not now.” I used to believe I had all the answers. I would make myself crazy with expectations of the way I thought things SHOULD go 24/7. Each day would end and I would be disappointed in all the things that didn’t go they way I thought they SHOULD. Does this sound familiar to you? This perspective of belief kept me in the energy of fear, lack, and separation. When I started to understand that there is a greater wisdom out there and it sees the big picture that I don’t, I opened myself up to the possibility that there was a reason for “no” and “not now.” Looking back at the times a prayer’s answer was, no or not now—I’m grateful. Years ago, I read a book by Robert Ohotto, which I’ve talked about on this blog before. He talked about “ego prayers” vs. “soul prayers”. The examples changed the way I prayed, and received my answers. It’s funny, because I couldn’t tell you anything else about the book, but that one section was life changing for me. In the book he used letters as someone praying, and God answering to both the “soul prayer” and the “ego prayer’.

In 2020, I’ve really had to pray a lot to keep myself aligned with love, abundance, and peace. I’ve received a lot of no and not nows, but that feeling of peace is finally in there telling me that it’s all going to work out exactly the way it’s supposed to. I just need to trust the process and stay aligned! God has saved me from what would have been some of the worst decisions of my life by making sure things didn’t work out the way I planned. I’ve also been in situations that were very hard and I wasn’t able to leave until things lined up, and when they did, it REALLY was Divine timing. I have a sign on my wall that says, “Faith in God includes faith in His timing.”

Today, I commit to thanking God for knowing better than I do. When I can fully give my worries and stresses over to God, and have faith that aligning with love, abundance, and peace in my thoughts, feelings, actions, and reactions is enough—I live my best life. I don’t do this perfectly. Some days, I may be aligned for the amount of time I write a piece and my gratitude journal. Other days, I don’t have a moment where I’m not aligned. I’m here learning just like everyone else. Part of aligning with the energy of love, abundance, and peace is finding perspectives daily to help keep me aligned. This is one of those that does just that. People don’t have to believe the same exact way I do, they can alter the perspectives to work in their lives to align them with love, abundance, and peace. That’s not my business. All I can ever do is consciously choose what works for me and what doesn’t.

I know for a long time that if someone said the things about God that I do, I would have immediate judgments and let it feed the energy of fear, lack, and separation inside of me. That was painful. It was a story I was telling myself that made me feel the way I was. Just like it’s a story I tell myself that aligns me with love, abundance, and peace. That is why it is so important to be conscious of the stories we are telling ourselves. To me, God represents an all encompassing energy of love that is so great that it can’t be humanly understood, which is why there are so many different interpretations. I honestly love reading anything that comes from an authentic place of love, because I feel like that is the voice of God.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The NIV Study Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-13:7, 1985

Now, part of me practicing God knowing better than I do is me never insisting on my own way. It’s one of the reasons I love looking at different people’s interpretations of things. I’ve come to a place where I simply ask myself am I receiving this person’s perspective from the energy of love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation. I don’t have to agree with someone else to stay in the energy of love. I can still be angry, hurt, sad, and/or grieving and still stay in the energy of love. Like I said, I don’t do this perfectly every time, but when I do—I feel fully aligned with God and a plan that is so much bigger than me. I feel peace on a level that sends tingles all through my body.

I know that if I do the best I can to stay aligned with love, abundance, and peace, I will live a meaningful life. I will feel good about my contributions to the world. I will do my best live as my mentors before me who represented love even in the face of hate. For me, it means I need stay in gratitude for God knowing better and blessing me with time to experience as much love, abundance, and peace that I can, one day at a time. Aligning is daily work for better or for worse. We will get more of the energy we contribute.

With Love, Abundance, and Peace,
