When I interact with people who work on themselves, I leave the conversation feeling inspired…even if our perspectives are different. The beautiful thing about people who work on themselves is they have already began the process of seeing that we can believe perspectives that don’t serve us.
When we are open enough to see that, we listen and learn from each other in the most beautiful ways. I love those conversations that go, “I used to believe…, but I realized…” or “I used contribute my energy to…, but now I realize how unhealthy it is for me to think that way.”
I love being in conferences where the messages resonate through everyone watching and you can see the heads nodding together. The energy is palpable. When someone is working on aligning with the energy of love, abundance, and peace, I can feel it through their words, actions, and responses. It truly is a beautiful thing, and I love the energy it puts off.
To me, there is nothing more special than someone sharing their self-work, because I can feel that person’s light shining. It’s part of the reason I like working with people on this journey. Just feeling their light helps mine shine brighter. This is how we light up the world.
Just like the energy of love, abundance, and peace is contagious, so is the energy of fear, lack, and separation. Unhealthy thinking people set unhealthy traps to bring people into their energy. If a person isn’t working on themselves, it can happen unconsciously. It can even happen to people who have got into a cycle of toxic thinking for a brief period of time. Even with someone who does work on themselves regularly has slips, the cool part is watching how they pick up the pieces and recover from those unhealthy cycles. The problem with being around people who don’t work on themselves at all is that being around them becomes a very energetically dangerous place.
When I was in a relationship with a narcissist. I had no idea the slippery slope that attaching to the energy of fear, lack, and separation would take me down. I couldn’t see facts because my lens could only see in the direction of fear, lack, and separation. I didn’t realize how sick I got the longer I stayed in that energy.
When I was in that energy, I was weak and easy to manipulate. I learned through years of research how important it is to align my energy love, abundance, and peace. The blessings are we can see other people who are aligned, who aren’t, and/or who are working on it. Nobody is perfect. When we can admit that we are learning and growing, it opens us up in the most beautiful ways.
We cannot contribute to the authentic good in the world if our energy is trapped in the prison of fear, lack, and separation. Our path becomes jaded. We can’t see clearly because we are blinded by our own dark thinking. We can take a good and beautiful cause and bring toxic energy to it, which then contributes to the chaos. Paying attention to people working on themselves helps us to align our visions of a brighter future.
Part III of Letters from a Better Me is all about how to represent what we STAND for, instead of what we are against. That against energy can be powerful, and it unconsciously takes us deep into the energy of fear, lack, and separation. When we don’t take the path inward to focus on where we are contributing our energy, we sabotage the good by bringing in the darkness. If we are working with a group of people doing this, our messages of wanting better get lost. We wonder why our cause seems to fall on deaf ears.
Sometimes we have to do extra work towards aligning my energy after seeing too much fear, lack, and separation. My body makes it very clear when I need to do the extra work. We definitely need to listen to ourselves and tune in! When we don’t, it’s easy to go down the rabbit hole. The quickest way out is to do something right now. Having a conversation with someone who is working on themselves can help us do just that. If we sit and do nothing, the inner darkness will get the opportunity to take over.
Know who your people are for helping to get you out of your darkness. These aren’t the people who try to change you. These are the ones that you feel inspired by because of what they are doing for themselves.
Today’s Aligning
Love
Today, I commit to having conversations with people who work on themselves.
These kinds of conversations expand the love in my heart!
Abundance
I’m SO grateful for people who work on themselves.
Peace
Today, I commit to 15 minutes of breathing in the energy of love, abundance, and peace.
Doing this helps me be more grounded and present, which helps me see how to most effectively help the people around me.

With Love, Abundance, and Peace,
