Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #121

I’m grateful for art. I remember the first time I went to the Salvador Dali Museum. I was mesmerized by the detail and vision of his non-traditional eye. My grandfather loved painting, I remember staring into the eyes of all the people he painted. He had a way of capturing the depth of the soul. I could never figure out how he did it. I also remember exactly where I was sitting on a friend’s couch when I picked up a book of Ansel Adam photography. I often wonder if it was his work that first got me to feel the AWE in nature. The way he could capture a landscape inspired me to want to see them for myself.

I spent a couple years volunteering and then teaching a pre-school class. Watching young souls explore color, texture, and shapes was such a gift to see. Watercolors were my favorite. There are so many different forms of art and each one has it’s own gifts. There is a freedom that comes with exploring different art forms. Appreciating art opens me up in ways that make living better, because when art touches the soul, it awakens my spirit to shine. Appreciating art also takes me out of any chaos I may be letting consume my mind. I’m so grateful I have art to create, appreciate, and enjoy.

Today, I commit to appreciating art. This is the time of year I love creating and exploring art. When I’m looking at gifts for the holidays, I’m in full appreciation mode. I’m committed to enjoying the process of appreciating art in all it’s forms from words to pictures and everything in-between. I feel a surge of joy just thinking about it. My fingers are itching to look up pieces that will make my heart sing. Instantly thoughts of sculptures, landscapes, and colors start filling my mind. I don’t know about anyone else, but I know my mind can use a break from the daily routine and all the outside noise. Art is a way I can find joy no matter what is happening around me. It’s a way I can instantly connect with the energy of love, abundance, and peace. It also is a way I can see where I’m connecting with inner pain. It can give me space to allow my tears to flow and release something that was stuck within. I love when art moves me to tears. That’s when I know I’m fully present and open to be truly moved.

With Love, Abundance, and Peace,
