None of us have the perfect thinking mind. If we did, there would be no war within ourselves and no war with others.

Letters from a Better Me: How Becoming an Empowered Woman Transforms the World is a book about rising up from within. It’s a journey in learning how to represent what we stand for, instead of putting our energy into what we are against. Living empowered is not a defensive action we take. It’s a way of BEING. When we embrace that: our thoughts, feelings, and actions align to work together for our highest good. When we choose to live empowered, we are fueled by the energy of love, abundance, and peace, NOT fear, lack, and separation. One ends wars and the other fuels them.
Choosing to live in the energy of love, abundance, and peace is a moment to moment commitment. That is why I devoted an entire year of my writing to it on this blog. I needed to do that for me. Since I’ve stopped writing “Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace” the energy of fear, lack, and separation has been sneaking in more often. I can feel when I start going to war with myself–body, mind, and soul. Knowing that difference empowers me to do something about it. I have choices. If I trust the call of my soul, I will be led back to living in the energy of love, abundance, and peace. If I choose to follow the energy of fear, lack, and separation, I will stay in my suffering. I will stay at war with myself, and therefore create war with others through my judgments, gossip, resentments, lack of compassion, and reactions to other people’s choices. I don’t HAVE to contribute to ANY war. It’s a choice.
The only way for me to know if I’m contributing to a war is to be responsible and accountable for the energy I’m putting out into the world. I have to look at how I’m treating myself and others in my deepest thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. It’s through that level of honesty with myself that I can CHOOSE to do and BE something different in that next moment. I have to keep up with my own weeds in order to give people seeds that will contribute to the energy of love, abundance, and peace in the world.
Navigating our energy is a moment to moment practice. We can slip in and out of it based on what we give our energy to. The first step is noticing and becoming aware of the effects OUR CHOICES in perspectives are having on OURSELVES. This is not about any other person and what they are doing and/or not doing. Living empowered is about being accountable and responsible for our choices, not theirs.
