Today’s aligning is about showing people we love them. This topic hits home for me. When I’m stuck in the energy of lack, I want people to show me they love me, because I’m not showing it to myself. When I’m in the energy of abundance, I get excited to show not just tell people that I love them. When I’m in the energy of love, I want to share and put effort into making sure I’m expressing my love in the best way possible.

When I say the best way possible, I mean in a way that is the most authentic to me in the moment. When I’m at peace in my heart, I can express love without agenda. When I’m in the energy of separation, expressing love comes with expectations, which means it’s really fear we are expressing not love.

Just remember love and fear are opposites. We are in one or the other. All our insecurities about our relationships live in the energy of fear, lack, and separation. Love feels expansive in our bodies. Fear feels constrictive. Fear is the master of manipulation, love is the master of authenticity. So many of us are taught warped lessons on what love is from our families and organizations that want power over us. That’s not love, that’s fear. Knowing the difference is key to being able to express love to others in the most genuine ways.

This is why aligning our energy with love, abundance, and peace is so important for the health of all our relationships.

What set me on this path is looking up the definition of love while I was being verbally, psychologically, financially, and emotionally abused by a narcissist. He had power over me because of my warped definition of love. When I looked it up, I found a passage that I’ve heard millions of times, but it NEVER registered to me as a definition of love. It was Corinthians 13.4-13.7 from the Bible. There are multiple versions of this same passage, but it was seeing it as the definition of love that made all the difference for me. So when I speak of living from a loving place, this is the foundation of what that means to me. None of us are going to do it perfectly, but making the effort to do it as much as possible is a legacy of love that I know I would feel honored to pass on. How about you? I hope that helps.
