Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #344

I’m grateful for waking up spiritually! This one was a long journey for me. I grew up with very confusing beliefs about what it meant to live a spiritual life. There were so many mixed messages that confused love with fear, abundance with lack, and peace with separation. I went through some very dark times as a result. My shame and guilt for being human kept me from KNOWING love for what it truly is. Just thinking about those days brings tears to my eyes. But without those days, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m grateful for all the experiences, thoughts, beliefs, and people along the way that have helped me to WAKE UP to my spirituality.

My experiences make my spiritual journey what it is. Each person’s is going to look different. I’m not here to judge anyone else’s spirituality or their journeys. The only person’s spirituality I’m responsible and accountable for is my own. I embraced the journey of waking up even though some parts of the process were challenging and painful. The journey of staying awake definitely takes daily work. I still have some old embedded beliefs that come to the surface from time to time, but now I’m more equipped to let those old ideas pass without much chaos.

I love my faith, belief, and trust I have because of where my spirituality has taken me. I’m reminded daily that I’m protected in the most amazing love there is. When I let myself sit in that energy, I tingle all over and feel an inner expansion beyond description.

Today, I commit to igniting my spiritual awareness. Whenever I align with the energy of fear, lack, and separation, I’ve stopped paying attention to my relationship with the Divine Source. The Divine does not live in the energy of fear, lack, and separation because the Source is pure love, so to ignite my spiritual awareness, it’s only possible if I am aligned with love, abundance, and peace. Even if it is only for the moment I’m experiencing it. I can move in and out of the energy. The more I practice consciously aligning, the longer I stay.

When I’m in my spiritual awareness, I see and feel signs physically, emotionally, and creatively that I’m there. How it looks and feels to me may be different than how it does for you. The feeling of AWE is one of my easiest doorways into experiencing my relationship with God on a more intimate level. I write about AWE a lot. It’s such an essential piece of my spiritual journey.

One of the ways I love igniting my spiritual awareness:

  1. Put on meditation music
  2. Do a short meditation to quiet my mind
  3. Get out my notebook
  4. Close my eyes with my pen in hand
  5. Write out a question like, “What is important for me to know right now on my spiritual journey?”
  6. Set timer for a minimum of 15 minutes and start free-writing, which means no going back and no editing

Some of the most amazing and profound things are revealed here. To follow, I tend to see how what I wrote comes alive in my experiences. It’s pretty wild how it works. I’ve committed to myself to have an open relationship with God. I don’t limit my time and/or communication to any specific practices. I do truly feel the Divine everywhere and in every experience as long as I make the choice to stay open and awake.

When I need help moving out of the energy of fear, lack, and separation, I ask the Source for help. Just me calling awareness to the energy helps me release the power I’ve given it over my thoughts and opens me up to receive Divine wisdom.

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #299

I’m grateful for the symbolic meanings of the number 9. My connection to the number 9 began on the day I was born, because I was born on the 9th day of the month. My sister and my father were both born on the 27th day (9×3=27). When my dad’s partner brought in two daughters both were born on the 9th day of the months they were each born in. My dad felt very strongly about his connection to the number 9 that he even passed away with a 9 in his timing and he wanted his 9. The more I began to pay attention to the number 9, the more significant it became in my life and the more meanings I found.

After my dad passed, I looked up the meaning of the number 9 and I remember feeling fully connected to seeing the meaning—completion of Divine will. I had a tattoo artist design a tattoo for me highlighting the number 9. Over it, the word “Protected”. The tattoo artist could only fit me in on 9th. The overall meaning of my tattoo is that I’m protected by Divine will. At the time this was happening, I was separated from my then husband. I remembered spending years praying to learn what I need to learn so that I could find my joy again. I told God that I would stay if that is what the Divine wanted of me, but I got CLEAR, and I mean CRYSTAL CLEAR signs when it was time to go, and I mean down to the day. When the divorce officially came through, it was on the 9th. I had no say or control over the day this happened, it just happened to be the day the judge signed off on the uncontested paperwork. For me, it was that final exhale that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I have so many stories of beginnings and endings that all fell on 9s. I also have many wonderful adventures where the number 9 showed up in absolute Divine timing.

Here are some empowering meanings that make me feel aligned with the number 9:

  • Completion of Divine will
  • Fulfilling purpose
  • Highest energy vibrations for single-digit numbers
  • Universal love
  • Spiritual Enlightenment
  • Service to humanity
  • Divine timing
  • Path of humanitarianism
  • Connecting ALL things

Today, I commit to embracing the symbolic meanings of the number 9. There is no doubt my purpose is aligned with serving humanity from a loving place. I’m led down this path daily! The number 9 often shows up to remind me not only of my purpose, but to trust in Divine timing! I LOVE when those reminders pop up to show me how amazingly things line up when I stay where my feet are and just keep trusting my journey. If I want to get the most out of embracing the the symbolic meaning of the number 9, I do these things when the number 9 jumps out at me:

  • Pay attention to what is happening in my mind in that moment
  • Pay attention to any physical sensations
  • Trust that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be
  • Thank the Divine for showing me a clear sign that I am where I’m supposed to be
  • I embrace the feeling of Universal love
  • I check to see if my energy is aligned with love, abundance, and peace
  • Acknowledge and be grateful for any Divine timing moments that I notice (It could be something I read, hear, experience, or see)
  • I look to see if there is a way I can service humanity in that moment
  • I pay attention if I feel led to go, do, or write something…then I do it!

These are in no particular order and I don’t do each one of them every time I see the number 9. I get a sense of what I need to bring to the moment, and I do those particular things. I trust what feels right, which is part of me trusting my intuition.

Do you notice the number 9 at pivotal times in your life?

I hope you are enjoying the journey of aligning with love, abundance, and peace. Follow along daily if these messages resonate with you. You can also go back to the Home page and see what other posts help you feel more connected. Have a blessed and beautiful day!

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #249

I’m grateful for lessons in Divine financial abundance. When I say lessons, I really mean finding my way home to truth. I’ve had reactions to certain words, phrases, judgments, beliefs, and thoughts about money since I was young. I don’t always know why I have the reactions I have, but none the less, they are there. It’s almost like my soul is tapping me saying this is true or this is not true. Let’s take, “Money is evil.” I’ve never liked this one. It makes my body tense up and want to physically remove it from my very atmosphere. Money is paper. Money is a material thing. It’s the thoughts and beliefs we choose to put into money that make it what it is to us. Let’s dig deeper.

One of the greatest freedoms I uncovered is the power of my own perspective. I’m still a work in progress when it comes to Divine financial abundance, but here is what I’ve discovered so far. The second I focus my energy around a thought and attach my feelings to it, the thought becomes a belief. I have to REALLY be conscious of the energy I’m projecting out into the world. That being said, let’s take, “Money is evil.” If I choose to believe money is evil, I psychically, physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally reject the energy of money coming to me for doing good. That doesn’t work for me. I don’t believe that money is evil. I will not blame a piece of paper for what what humans choose to do with it. Not all humans make choices that contribute to the fear, lack, and separation within themselves and out in the world using money as the weapon. Some people choose to do wonderful things with money. Some people’s use of money benefits many people’s lives in many different ways. That is not the money that makes that choice, it is the individual who is putting their energy into what they do with the money. We are each accountable and responsible for what is going on inside of us and what we choose to project out to the world.

That being said, why should someone who is doing good things to help many people feel like they shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy financial abundance themselves? Why as a society do we think professions that serve others should make less? Is that money’s fault? NO, that is a human perspective problem in my book. I bought into this perspective and joined in on many judgments of others for this perspective too. All I was doing was keeping financial abundance away from myself. What I believe projects out and comes back. I can’t just choose to believe that in one area of my life and not the other, LOL. It just doesn’t work that way.

I’ve been working through breaking many thought and belief patterns tied to Divine financial abundance. Since I asked the Universe for help, I’ve been seeing so many different blocks I’m still holding onto. The beauty is that I know when I have worked through my blocks when Divine financial abundance flows into my life. I keep remembering any thought I put out into the Universe is creating my reality. The more conscious I am, the more aware I am of what I’m putting out into the world.

Today, I believe that Divine financial abundance is something that comes when my beliefs about money are aligned with my passion for what I’m contributing. Once my beliefs align, my actions align. Once my actions align, my outcomes align.

I’ve told myself again and again that money always shows up when I need it. Well, this statement has been true for me in so many ways, because I believe it to be true. Here’s the block though, it shows up when I “NEED” it. If I fuel energy of love, abundance, and peace and imagine myself doing something that needs money, even if it’s something like a road trip, the money shows up. If I imagine my kids having a specific experience that I need money for, the money shows up. If I imagine myself in a specific place with a specific person, the way shows up. The issue is that until recently, I haven’t expanded my belief beyond need. AHHHHH…that was a HUGE awakening moment for me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to see and be open to changing perspectives of truth that are no longer serving me to the extent that I know is possible. This doesn’t make the belief wrong, just limited. I love seeing ways to expand my own limited thinking.

Today, I commit to being open to Divine financial abundance. My new mantra is, My financial wealth comes from doing what I love to do. That perspective makes me feel open and expansive in my body, mind, and soul. Now, I take the perspective deeper by defining what I love to do:

  • I love serving others from a loving place.
  • I love speaking both virtually and in-person to groups of people looking to align themselves with living their best lives.
  • I love writing as a form of service to humanity.
  • I love writing as a tool to deepen my connection with Divine energy, which is love, abundance, and peace.
  • I love sharing my experiences of aligning with the energy of love, abundance, and peace with others.
  • I love reading about other people’s journeys in how they choose to live from a loving place.
  • I love supporting others who are working through their energy of fear, lack, and separation.
  • I love being creative and trying new things to further align me with the energy of love, abundance, and peace.
  • I love helping people work together in a team.
  • I love helping individuals, teams, and leaders increase their communication skills.
  • I love helping people to get out of their own way.

I’m just writing these down as they come up. The list may change, grow, or expand as more and more clarity comes to me. That’s how this journey works. We are not stuck with any belief (perspective of truth) that no longer works for us. Sometimes we buy into beliefs for awhile to show us that they are not working. That doesn’t mean those beliefs won’t work for someone else, but that is not our journey to figure out.

Today is about figuring out how to be open to Divine financial abundance. It’s not about what anybody else does or believes. It’s about what I’m choosing to believe and how those beliefs affect my life and my level of abundance that I’m allowing into my life. If you embark on this journey focus on your own beliefs and dig as deep as you can to see how those beliefs about money and/or financial abundance affect your life. Then determine what is the best route for you.

Here are a some tips: Our judgments of others help us to see what beliefs are holding prisoner and which ones are setting us free. Observe your thoughts and judgments about people who have money and the people who don’t. Observe your thoughts and judgments of how you define success and failure (monetarily speaking). Observe how you think around people who have money and people who do not. Make a list: on one side write beliefs about money that align with love, abundance, and peace. On the other side write beliefs about money that align with fear (consequences of having money), lack (not enough), and separation (Better or less than others).

A reminder to self: Don’t forget to laugh. It helps to get stuck energy moving.

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #156

I’m grateful for the inner knowing that my soul is safe. For a very long time, I didn’t feel this way. Years ago, I had so many layers of shame stories that made me feel unlovable and unworthy. I had so much self hatred. I did things that hurt myself and others. I didn’t even know how much I abused myself until I attracted that level of abuse back to me. I didn’t feel safe in this life, let alone considering dying with all the hate I had in my heart. I was so driven by fear, lack, and separation that I spun so much fear that I was afraid of facing my maker when I died. I actually believed I wasn’t worthy of even God’s love. As I’ve said before, my definition of what God’s love represents is the purest love there is, when I didn’t feel that love inside me, I couldn’t feel that love from ANY outside source.

When I started to authentically love myself, the inner knowing that my soul is safe became stronger and stronger. The better I was to myself, the more I could serve others in a wholehearted way. I am accountable and responsible for my mistakes without condemning myself, and it DOES NOT MATTER what ANYONE else believes about my soul. What energy another person puts into me, is none of my business. They are accountable and responsible for their own energy. If I take on someone else’s energy or seek revenge, I am responsible for that energy. Nobody can MAKE me take revenge. When I used to engage in the energy of revenge, my soul didn’t feel safe, because that energy is aligned with the darkness in humanity. If I feel hate brewing inside of me, I know that is my energy to resolve and that has NOTHING to to with the person, place, or thing that I’m hating. When I release my soul from that energy, I feel free and safe.

Today, I commit to resting in the energy of love, abundance, and peace—My soul is safe. My fear of death disappeared when I started allowing my energy to rest in this beautiful place. I love to practice with saying prayers for people who are hurting others. I say prayers for people who are trapped in the energy of fear, lack, and separation. I picture people who do hurtful things that are aimed at me looking at themselves instead. I realize that it takes a lot of self-hate to intentionally hurt someone else. When I stopped self-abusing, I stopped putting myself in the path of people who were looking for someone to take their pain out on. I couldn’t do that though until my energy was aligned with love, abundance, and peace.

If you are reading this and you feel like you are not surrounded by healthy people, start doing this daily work of aligning your energy. You will find that the more aligned you are, the people who surround you will change. There will either be new people or the old relationships will change. I have healed many of my relationships by working on aligning my own energy. The more aligned my energy is with love, abundance, and peace, the safer my soul feels. If you read my book, you will see how I shifted my life to what it is now and get all the tools to do it.

Today, I will use meditation to help me rest in the energy of love, abundance, and peace. I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning up my side of the street (i.e. my business, my problems, my stories). At this point, I simply close my eyes, take a deep cleansing breath in, and release in the knowing that my soul is safe because I’m doing my best to align with love, abundance, and peace daily. Just that simple thought brings tears of joy and peace to my eyes. The only SOUL I’m responsible and accountable for is my own. It’s not my job to judge someone else’s journey. They are here with a purpose to serve just like I am. The second I put my energy in their business and align it with fear, lack, and separation, I am responsible and accountable for that energy. I discovered it’s just not worth it. I simply do what I need to do to take care of my energy, that way I can show up for the people I love in the best way possible and…my soul is safe.

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #18

What I’ve realized on my journey of aligning with love, abundance, and peace is that I have to make daily time to take care of me and my energy. If I don’t, I can easily get caught up in what is going on around me. This truly is a daily practice and I feel it when I slip. I used to say, “I struggle with making anything a routine.” Just saying it created a resistance. What I found is that I have to find MY way to make time. Setting alarms on my phone is one of the ways I get my reminders. It also helps me to keep myself accountable. I’m so happy with how well it has worked for me. Where as before, I would just try to slide stuff in, now I have a designated time and I’m finding even if I can’t do it right then because something comes up, I still make time to do it. Now, I really am making space for myself daily to make sure I’m doing things to align my energy with love, abundance, and peace. Some of things include healthy eating, gratitude journal/ journaling, exercise, and meditation. I feel taken care of and I have more energy to put love out into the world.

I know meditation can feel overwhelming to some, but meditation takes a lot of different forms. Don’t feel like there is one right way to meditate, because there is not. Take it from someone who has tried many! I do writing meditations where I play instrumental or chanting meditation music and free write (just write, no correcting and no thinking about what you are writing) for 15 minutes. I’m often amazed at the sage wisdom that comes from those sessions. When I’m struggling I’ve said a prayer than ask for an answer on my nature walk, again some great wisdom comes from being present with nature. I’ve also done all kinds of guided and not guided meditations sitting on my floor or my bed. I also have movement meditations I do. I commit to doing at least one a day for 15 minutes, and I definitely feel more at peace and loving. If we don’t give ourselves a break from the chaos, we become apart of it once again engaging in the energy of fear, lack, and separation. Creating space for self-care reminds us that we have a choice where our energy goes no matter what is happening around us.

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #15

Today, it’s all about the clouds. The clouds offer me so many gifts. I can be kid-like in my fascination with them while looking around for shapes that look like angels, animals, people, and so much more. When I look up at the clouds and just give myself a few seconds to take them in, I recalibrate. When things are really heavy, I will lie down on the grass and look up at the clouds for as long as I need to. I can name a lot more than three reasons I’m grateful for the clouds. I honestly am sitting here smiling writing about it because just thinking of them brings me joy. That is something I’m VERY grateful for.

Today, I’m spending another day centering myself to stay in my peace. I don’t know about where you are, but where I am we have beautiful clouds on any given day. They are just out there waiting to be appreciated. Sometimes I will go outside with my headphones on and sit in the grass. I listen to a song that came out in the the 90’s called “Look Up to the Sky” by THE INDIANS. I sit, listen, and feel. It’s an energy session for me, because I ALWAYS leave feeling empowered. My body, mind, and soul become fully aligned with love, abundance, and peace.

When we feel deep appreciation for things like clouds, we learn to recognize the feeling more easily when relating to people. We start learning that it feels good to be around that kind of energy, and we start attracting more of it. Our energy is going to be aligned with love, abundance (appreciation), and peace or fear, lack, and separation. Part of what these daily practices do are help us to spot the energy consciously. When we can do that, we become empowered to shift, grow, and expand in ways that are so rewarding.

Enjoy your day with the clouds, I know I will.

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #14

It’s been two weeks since I started this journey and so many blessings have been coming my way. Committing to spend time daily in the energy of love, abundance, and peace has created space for some wonderful shifts. Amazing people, deeper meditations, money, closeness with my kids, and so much more. I’m feeling good about taking care of myself body, mind, and soul and my relationships are benefiting from it.

Committing to live in the energy of love, abundance, and peace does NOT mean I’m not going to feel grief, sadness, fear, anger, etc. When I have these feelings, I FEEL them fully, learn from them, and when I’ve done my work with them, I release them. Feelings show up for a reason, but when we live in the ENERGY of fear, lack, and separation, we don’t find the beautiful gifts, because our need to live in fear, lack, and separation tells us we have to STAY in it. When we stay longer than we need to by numbing, avoiding, and suppressing our darkness comes out on others. We are in a constant cycle of things that will keep feeding that fear, lack, and separation cycle. What has happened to us in the past doesn’t have to keep up prisoner. We have to choose where we want to put our energy and wherever we choose to put it, is what will feed into our lives. Martin Luther King Jr. said it beautifully when he said,

“As you press on for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline, using only the weapon of love. Let no man pull you so low as to hate him. Always avoid violence. If you succumb to the temptation of using violence in your struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an endless reign of meaningless chaos.”

-Martin Luther King Jr. 1956

From A Loving Place was born from inspiring words from the amazing humans who took the responsibility of passing down a legacy of love seriously. We aren’t going to end any of the fear, lack, and separation in the world, if we are choosing to live their ourselves. I’m making the conscious choice of which energy I’m choosing to feed daily. I hope you will join me on this amazing adventure if you haven’t already.

Today, my focus is on my centering practices. One of the things I talk about in my book is centering ourselves in our daily activities. One of the challenges I face when introducing new practices to my life is time, so learning to create centering practices around what I’m already doing is such an AWESOME gift. Washing my hands and washing dishes turned into a gift instead of a chore. Laundry gives me space to move and breathe. De-cluttering acts as an emotional cleanser. Traffic is time to listen to audiobooks that keep me centered. We can choose to look at anything from a place of love, abundance, and peace or fear, lack, and separation. Today, I will spend my day in gratitude enjoying each activity that gives me an opportunity to center myself.

I feel like a kid in a candy store right now. I’m actually giddy thinking of all the ways I can center myself. When I say centering myself, I mean becoming one with a moment in time. When I focus on doing this throughout the day, my day ends up being such an adventure. I’m thinking of the process of making my smoothie, and all the amazing opportunities that offers using every one of my senses. I’m going to have fun with this one. I hope you do too!

Nature offers us so many tools to get to a peaceful place within ourselves. When we learn to start focusing on the abundance they provide us with, that’s when amazing connections begin to happen. I will be forever grateful to a banyan tree that taught me the importance of getting rid of dead weight so that my energy could be distributed to places that will make me stronger. Trees come with many answers if we stop, listen, and observe. Just sitting under trees as the wind moves their branches puts me at ease with the world around me. I’m reminded to breathe in the magnificent oxygen that they provide.

We make time for what’s important to us, so if peace is important, we must first start making time to be at peace. The world around us might be chaotic and frantic, but trees can offer us calm. If we don’t want to be in the chaos, we need tools to get our energy out of the chaos and into the energy where the best solutions lie—in our calm. Our best problem solving skills happen when we are in the energy of love, abundance, and peace, not fear, lack, and separation.

A practice I love to do is write down a challenge I’m facing, then sit under a tree and see what comes to me. I’m never opposed to climbing one either. It was when I was climbing a banyan, high in the branches that I became free from the chains that were holding me down. I asked for the wisdom and I got more than I ever could have imagined.

There is a reason laughter is called one of the BEST medicines. When we appreciate the people, places, and things that make us laugh, we attract more things to laugh about. One of the saddest things I notice when working  with people is how they brush pass their laughter like it’s no big deal. Laughter is a HUGE deal and something to be very grateful for. Find places to laugh in your daily life. I don’t care if it’s people, videos, stand-up, or what. They even have Laughing Yoga. I absolutely LOVE stand-up comedy. For me, it’s not just about the comedian. It’s about the crowd laughing too. I’m so grateful when I find things in my life that make me laugh out loud.

If you are having to be isolated from your friends, you can video chat with them. I’ve had some of the best nights on chats with girlfriends just laughing so hard that not only were tears rolling down my eyes, but my face HURT the next day from smiling so much. If you are joining me on this daily aligning with love, abundance, and peace, think back to the times you have laughed in the last few days. I know even at some of the saddest times in my life, I found moments to laugh. Those moments were so important to me. They helped me feel like I was going to be okay.

IMG_0842

Make laughing a priority today! Why not, unless you don’t want to feel better, I guess that would be a good reason LOL. We live in a world FULL of resources. If we are bound and determined to laugh today, we will. I know I will. If you REALLY want to be in the energy of love, abundance, and peace—write it down!! It’s not enough just to think it and crack a grin. Fully embrace, value, and cherish what you are grateful for. We have to give gratitude our full energy or else that energy of lack will find it’s way back in. We have to give that moment of peace acknowledgment when we are laughing, so that we don’t re-align with feelings of separation. Laugh out loud right now until the laugh becomes real because you are laughing at yourself. Love yourself enough to treat yourself with laughter today. You deserve it and so do I!

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #10

Today, I’m focusing my gratitude on flowers in all their glory. For me, taking pictures of flowers reminds me to stop and pay attention. They provide us with such beautiful gifts. I love walking around my neighborhood and seeing all the variations. When the wind hits the right place, I smell the gardenia and the jasmine permeate the air. If you want to join me, take a few minutes to really stop, appreciate, and smell the flowers you love. What are your favorites? Do you have any around you? Go visit them if you can. If you don’t, find pictures and imagine smelling them. When the mind focuses, it can bring a smell from a memory right to you. Use the flowers to REALLY embrace the feeling of gratitude, because in this moment the flowers are enough to bring you into the energy of abundance.

When we slow down and pay attention to the flowers, we give ourselves the opportunity to be fully engaged in the moment. We don’t even need to see flowers in person to feel the AWE. We can look at pictures online and notice details of these AMAZING creations.

Right now, I’m thinking about gardenia. Instantly, the beautiful scent fills my head, and I not only smell it, but absorb the last memory of me smelling it. I’m back to the AWE…a moment of pure joy , peace, and gratitude all at once—true abundance. It’s the most beautiful feeling. When you recognize the things that bring you to a feeling of AWE, it’s easier to move out of a moment of fear, lack, and separation and back into love, abundance, and gratitude.
