I’m grateful for the feeling of water against my skin. This is the week of BEING. When I slow myself down to appreciate the way that water feels against my skin, an instant smile comes across my face. I enjoy the process of washing my hands, showering, floating in a pool, swimming in a lake, wading in the Gulf of Mexico, walking through a stream, and playing in a waterfall. Water holds so much joy for me. All I have to do is slow down enough to appreciate it.

Today, I commit to appreciating the feeling of water touching my skin. SLOW DOWN! I have a practice of consciously washing my hands and appreciating the way the water feels as it kisses my skin. I also love standing in the shower and taking the feeling in. I focus on on area at a time and pay attention to how the water feels. When I’m done with the shower, I feel completely at peace. I move more consciously into my day. When I slow down enough to do this, I can find peace washing dishes, watering the plants, and washing the car. Consciously slowing down aligns me with love, abundance, and peace. There is no drama that exists in my time with water. How beautiful is that?

Daily Aligning with Love, Abundance, and Peace #35

I don’t know about anyone else, but I absolutely LOVE water. There are so many ways to be grateful for water. Just think, we are made of mostly water. Without that, we wouldn’t be alive. We watch life thrive because of all forms of water. If you can be fully immersed in your gratitude for water. You are in the energy of love, abundance, and peace. Dive in! How many reasons can you come up with to be grateful for water?

Today’s challenge is to appreciate and ENJOY water. When you are in the shower, take it in! Notice how good warm water feels against your skin. Enjoy the peace you feel when fresh water is rinsing over you. If you are by the beach, a lake, or a pond, take a few minutes to stop and appreciate the beauty that lives right by you. Wash your hands and be with the water. Take a deep breath in and be grateful that you are given the resources to stay clean during these interesting times. Get yourself a nice glass of water and really allow yourself to think about all the things water is doing for your body. Pay attention to how your body feels. Notice how you feel the more you really start appreciating water. Embrace the gift. You are experiencing love, abundance, and peace. Sit with it and keep the awareness of how it feels, so that you know how to get back here again and again.

Lessons from Nature: Going with the Flow

Life will sometimes bring us to places where we feel out of control. The question is in these moments are we resisting the flow? Sometimes I use nature to show me healthier ways to look at my challenges . The water below just keeps flowing. It hits rocks and finds its way around or creates new pathways to flow. The one thing the water doesn’t do is try to stop in mid flow resisting where the current is taking it. What’s the point? Life is happening whether we like the moment we are in or we don’t. Understanding this to shall pass is accepting the flow of life. Nothing stays the same. We change and grow with the flow of life, resisting just makes the pressure build up and the force that takes us becomes more complicated to navigate. If we can practice going with the flow we see that going through the challenges and letting ourselves fully be present will give us the tools to see our options and have the knowledge to understand that this too will pass. Be the flowing water and trust the process. There are great lessons that come from the drama in our lives.
